This is exactly how I feel about Jesus (an...Lauren! This is exactly how I feel about Jesus (and it reminds me a lot of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet). Sadly, I find that very few people want to think of him this way--as a human being, a person who was challenged in the same ways we all are. Too many people *want* the discourse, the arguments, the "proof" that what they believe is the only right way to believe. But in reality there is no right way to believe. All you have to do is BE. Try to live with as much integrity as possible, like Jesus did. And when you fail, try to learn from the experience and do better next time. Speaking as a person who doesn't follow any one religious doctrine, I just want the talking--from all sides--to stop. Stop talking and just listen. Listen to others and listen to the voice of your soul, because that's where you're really going to find Jesus.<br /><br />So all of that's a long-winded way of saying I'd like to read this book.
